The City of Hauser is a small city located in Kootenai County and is known for its serene landscapes, small town charm, and numerous recreational activities. Hauser’s local government operates under a mayor-council system. The city council, elected by the residents, works alongside the Mayor to manage city affairs, including public safety, utilities, and community development.
The City of Hauser is currently accepting applications for council seat. The City Council is the legislative and policy making body for the City of Hauser. They are each an elected official to a four-year term and must live within the city limits of the city they govern. It is the council’s responsibility to make and pass laws within the City. We are different from other county municipalities, but the same principles apply. Our Mayor and Council members are a dedicated group who are committed to serving the citizens of Hauser.
This is a paid position that requires attending one meeting per month, possibly more, on the second Tuesday of every month. The qualified candidate should uphold values such as integrity, professionalism, and respect for civil liberties, as well as being committed to community policing, fostering a cooperative relationship between law and community members.
